Every year, the State of Illinois makes changes to legislation that transforms the employment landscape. Supervisors and managers need to know how to navigate particular topics to remain in compliance with the new Illinois laws. This full day seminar, utilizing the Supervisor’s Handbook newly updated in January 2022 by Litchfield Cavo, LLP in partnership with the Illinois Chamber, will present that direction. Supervisors will receive the necessary information using the 2022 Supervisor’s Handbook as a guide for the day and provide a necessary update for 2022 and beyond. Join Sean Darke as he gives a thorough comprehension of the ever-changing employment laws in the State of Illinois and learn just how to handle those situations BEFORE they come up.

Sean Darke is an experienced employment and labor law attorney and focuses his practice on advising and litigating employment and labor law matters. He successfully defends companies in both state and federal courts and state and federal administrative courts, specifically on matters involving wage and hour laws, employment discrimination, independent contractor agreements, non-competition agreements, harassment claims, unemployment claims, unfair labor practices, state and federal agency audits, and several other key areas under both state and federal laws.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
