Are you hiring? PCHS wants to help!

Are you hiring? We want to help!

Pekin Community High School is excited to announce that we will be hosting a Student Job Fair as part of our upcoming Future Focus Day on April 29, 2022! We’re reaching out to you to see if you would be interested in representing your hiring opportunities at our event. We are looking for organizations who need to fill positions that our students are qualified for. We will have many students who are looking towards their summer employment and not sure of the direction to take. They range in age from 14 to 18 and over, so we know not all positions will fit. It is our intent to categorize your organizations based on the minimum age requirement for your positions. That way, students can go directly to the employers that can work with them.

The fair itself will require a relatively short amount of time, taking place during the first two periods of our students’ day. Partners should expect to be at PCHS from 7:30am to 10:00am.

This will be the third of three Future Focus Days that we have carried out for PCHS students this year, in addition to our yearly Career Fair. We are fortunate to be part of a forward-thinking high school that puts a strong emphasis on career readiness. This particular day will involve the Student Job Fair, a College and Career Fair, and teacher-led interest sessions. All students will attend two sessions of their choice. With almost 1,700 students, it’s important to have a variety of options for them.

If our event sounds like something that you would be interested in, please fill out the RSVP form HERE and we will get to work on the details. If you have any questions or need further information, please reach out to Jennifer Anderson or Joel Steger. We’d love to talk to you!

Sincerely,
