On February 28th ,  HMC Tremont Medical Arts physician Dr. Trent Proehl will be presenting from a patient focused perspective on healthy living at Seasons Gastropub in Morton.  The community is invited to come and enjoy appetizers and refreshments during the evening presentation.
Dr. Proehl has well established local ties, and he recently returned to Tazewell County to practice at the HMC Tremont Medical Arts alongside his wife Dr. Rebecca Proehl and Dr. Matthew Rossi. Their office is characterized by a patient focused, physician directed approach. Patients see their doctor and receive state-of-the-art quality provided in a private, family atmosphere.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
