OPENINGS STILL AVAILABLE FOR ICC’S COLLEGE FOR KIDS PROGRAM THIS JULY
Registration for Illinois Central College’s popular College for Kids program
for the July session is available through July 7. The summer program primarily
features classes for students entering fourth through ninth grades. The second
session of the program runs Monday ─ Thursday, July 10-20. ICC also
offers off-site Friday Fun Trips from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm on each Friday of
College for Kids.
New this year is Music Composer’s Jam Session, where students will use software
called Finale Notepad to compose original songs and pieces of music. Another
new class is Past to President, where students learn about past president’s
accomplishments and the problems that they faced. Also new this year for high
school students is My Own www, which will teach building a website using HTML
and CSS coding.
Other classes include Unleashed
Life of Pets, and Beyond; App Attack; Minecraft Designers; Express Yourself;
and more.
Club CFK offers activities for
student participants following the final class session of the day to
accommodate working parents and features computers and snacks from 3:15 pm to 5
pm. The cost to attend Club CFK is an additional $72.
Tuition per class varies for each
class based on instructional materials needed. Space is limited. Registration
