SOCCER BUILDS HEALTHY KIDS

Soccer offers a great way for a child to get in top physical shape through participation in a youth sport while having fun in a team setting.  Playing soccer improves flexibility, cardiovascular capability, and body composition.  Soccer players also develop a sense of self-confidence and increased social skills. Studies have shown that children who play competitive sports generally also perform at an above-average level in school.

Pekin Park District is offering recreational soccer which is designed to develop skills and allow adequate playing time under the direction of the Pekin Pride Soccer Club and Pekin Community High School varsity soccer players.

Rec Soccer is 7:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday beginning April 10, 2017 and ending Friday, May 19, 2017.  Cost is $48 if registered by April 4, 2017.  There is a $3 non-resident fee.  Location is PPD Sports Complex Soccer Fields located at Koch Street & 5th Street.
