Alzheimer’s Association to Present Program on “The Basics” of Memory Loss
The Alzheimer's Association-Central Illinois Chapter will present a program called “The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s” from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29 at the Chapter office, 606 W. Glen Ave., Peoria.
This is a program for anyone who would like to know more about dementia and Alzheimer’s. Participants learn about symptoms, causes and risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia, how Alzheimer’s affects the brain, the benefits of early detection, stages of the disease, treatment options, and ways the Association can help.
Cost is $5 for materials. Registration is required by Oct. 26 by calling the office toll free at 800.272.3900.
