Pekin Insurance Promotes Diane Steiner

The Pekin Insurance Board of Directors has announced the promotion of Diane Steiner, FLMI, to Vice President - Life Underwriting and Assistant Secretary at the October Board of Directors meeting.

While a student  at Pekin Community High School, Diane Steiner worked in the Pekin Insurance Claim Department as a co-op student.  She began full-time employment in June 1980 when she transferred to the Life Underwriting Department as a policyowner service clerk, underwriter trainee, underwriter, and senior underwriter.  She was promoted to assistant underwriting manager in 2001, underwriting manager with Staff Management status in 2003, and in 2008, she was named director of life underwriting. 

Pursuing professionalism in her career, she earned the Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) Designation in 1993.  A graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management, she has taken ALU, Academy of Life Underwriting, and CLU, Chartered Life Underwriter, courses. She has also received her Life and Health Insurance producers license.

Active in the Pekin community, Diane is currently a member of the Pekin YWCA and Pekin Chamber of Commerce Boards.  She is a past member of the United Way Board. 

She and her husband, Jim, reside in Pekin, and  in her leisure rime, Diane enjoys golfing and reading.
