GOODWILL WELCOMES TWO NEW EXECUTIVES

Peoria, IL – December 7, 2010 – Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois announces the hiring of Sharon Kott as Director of Retail and Jim Lynch as Director of Development.

“We are delighted and fortunate to have found two very talented individuals to lead our organization in the areas of development and retail management,” says Patty Fuchs Goodwill President and CEO. “Both Sharon and Jim have extensive experience in their fields and make a great addition to our team.”

A graduate of East Carolina University, Sharon Kott has more than 20 years experience in retail management. She has worked for many nationally known chain stores, including The Gap, J. Crew, Ann Taylor Loft and most recently Bergner’s. Sharon has a strong customer service and training background. Her formal education consists of a B.S. in fashion merchandising with a minor in marketing. In her role as Director of Retail, Sharon will oversee Goodwill’s nine stores throughout central Illinois.

Jim Lynch comes to Goodwill from his alma mater, Knox College, where he served as the Director of Major Gifts. He is a 10-year veteran in the development field, primarily in the areas of healthcare and education. In 2006, Jim received his Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification.  He also brings international experience having delivered presentations in Israel, Brazil and England. As Director of Development, Jim will oversee all public relations/marketing and fund development operations.
