Chambers Host Speed Networking

Fourteen members from the Pekin, Morton, and East Peoria chambers of commerce attended a speed networking event on December 3rd. The new event was held at the new Morton fire station on Courtland Avenue, and was coordinated by the staffs from all three chambers. Participants sat across from each other and had 90 seconds to talk about themselves and their company, before listening to the 90-second presentation from their partner. Everyone then got up and shifted one seat over and repeated the process with a different participant. Everyone enjoyed the event and thought it was a quick and easy way to quickly meet 15 new contacts. Participants also liked the idea of meeting people from other chambers.
