Hamm's Furniture Celebrates 35 Years

Representatives from the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting to congratulate Hamm's Furniture on 35 years in business. The local firm was founded by Alvin Hamm and Jesse Workman. Mr. Workman is still involved today, along with Alvin's children Russ Hamm, Charlene Harbors and other family members. Russ Hamm was assisted with the scissors at the ribbon cutting by family, friends and employees. Unfortunately, Lane Hamm was not available for the picture. Hamm's Furniture is located across from the Tazewell County Courthouse at 347 Court Street. Store hours are Monday through Thursday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. They offer new furniture, a full line of name brand furnishings, and mattresses. They provide free local delivery, set up, and removal of old furniture or bedding.  You can see more pictures from this and other chamber events at http://picasaweb.google.com/PekinChamber
