ILLINOIS CENTRAL COLLEGE WELCOMES FULBRIGHT SCHOLAR FROM BOTSWANA FOR 2016-17 ACADEMIC YEAR

Illinois Central College will host a Fulbright Scholar in Residence, Dr. Letshwiti Tutwane from Botswana, for the 2016-17 academic year. Tutwane already is providing guest lectures in a variety of classes at the College, including business, communication and African studies classes. He will be part of the ICC Arts and Communication Department and will teach at least one class in the department during spring semester.  
Tutwane holds a doctorate degree from Leicester and Atlantic University in England and also has a master’s degrees from Cardiff University in Wales. His educational background focuses on communication, journalism, business, and cultural studies.
ICC will facilitate Tutwane’s interest in helping foster new initiatives for the Peoria, Illinois - Jwaneng, Botswana sister cities agreement.
The Fulbright Program was founded by U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright and consists of competitive, merit-based grants for international exchange students, scholars, teachers, professionals, scientists and artists.
