Dr. Michael Honan Joins ProHealth Medical Group

ProHealth Medical Group, Pekin Hospital and Progressive Health Systems are pleased to announce Dr. Michael Honan has joined the ProHealth Primary Care practice. He will see patients at 600 South 13th Street, Suite E, in Pekin.
Dr. Honan has been a member of Pekin Hospital’s Medical Staff since 2003, and he is a founding partner of Internal Medicine Associates of Pekin. He received his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed the Internal Medicine residency program at Lutheran General Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Chicago.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
