Message from ALSAC & St. Jude

A special message from ALSAC CEO and a video from Marlo Thomas

I continue to hope each of you and your families are healthy and well as our world remains focused on social distancing and self-isolation for the sake of everyone across the globe.
One thing St. Jude is best known for is finding hope in some of the most challenging situations — nearly 60 years of fighting life-threatening diseases like cancer can teach anyone how do that. It is especially relevant now as our healthcare team works even harder to protect our patients and families from COVID-19. We recently went looking for acts of kindness in these difficult times — and found them everywhere. People looking out for a neighbor or stranger. People putting the most vulnerable among us first. People making human connections, even in this time of social distancing. We’re sharing a new story every day as part of our gift to you and everyone, everywhere — it’s our way of saying ‘thank you’ for all you’ve done for the children of St. Jude and to hopefully shine a little hope into your days. You can find them by visiting St. Jude Inspire.
Like many of you, our ALSAC and St. Jude staff, who are not on the frontlines providing care to patients, are working from home. Among those is someone very special to us, Marlo Thomas, National Outreach Director for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and daughter of St. Jude founder Danny Thomas.
From her home, she recorded a message to you and all St. Jude supporters. It is a true honor and my privilege to share this very special message from Marlo who wants to express her heartfelt love, care and concern for all of you, our St. Jude family.
I hope this brightens your day and reminds you of the hope you are providing to the families who need us. Please continue to take good care of yourself and your family.
Regards,
