We have been notified by a local small business retailer that an individual came in to their storefront yesterday (Jan. 2) near closing time to make a large purchase on an American Express card. The transaction didn't originally process, but the individual called the "company" to receive an approval code that showed that the transaction processed, however the money was never transferred.
