Illinois Central College Hosting Spring 2020 Campus Visit Days

Illinois Central College will host free Campus Visit Days this spring to provide potential students information on programs and degree options.  The spring 2020 Campus Visit Days below will be held from 9 a.m. to Noon with an 8:30 a.m. check-in:
·         ICC East Peoria Campus – January 31, February 28, March 6
·         ICC East Peoria Campus – February 17 for Undecided Students
·         ICC Peoria Campus – April 3
During their ICC visit, students will have the opportunity to participate in campus tours, meet faculty and staff and learn about various career paths, such as earning certificates to start a career right away, earning two-year associate degrees and taking classes to transfer to a four-year college or university.  They can also learn about financial assistance, student activities, athletics, on-campus housing and how to enroll in classes.
ICC will also be hosting an Open House for potential students and their families on Tuesday, April 7, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the East Peoria Campus.  The event is free and open to the public.  Further information will be provided at a later date.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
