Diane Cullinan Oberhelman Inducted Into Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame
Cullinan Properties, Ltd. announces Diane Oberhelman’s
induction into the Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame, while continuing to
grow with new projects in its portfolio and investment in its hometown
community of Peoria.
The Cullinan Properties team is proud to announce that Midwest
Real Estate News magazine recently named Cullinan Properties Founding
Partner and Chairman, Diane Cullinan Oberhelman, to its 2018 Commercial Real
Estate Hall of Fame. Oberhelman was recognized for her career as one of
the Midwest’s most successful commercial real estate professionals.
Oberhelman credits her personal and company success to her team’s dedication,
and her drive to being able to develop projects that create jobs, fuel local
economies and contribute to communities’ quality of place.
“As a company, we strive to make positive economic and
life-changing business differences in the communities we serve. Diane with her
vision, leadership and perseverance, is the driving force for what we as a
company have successfully accomplished over more than 30 years,” Christopher M.
West, Partner and CEO of Cullinan Properties, stated.
Cullinan Properties has strong roots in Peoria, having
developed the Shoppes at Grand Prairie and much of the surrounding development,
as well as Weaver Ridge Golf Course and community; One Technology Plaza and
Hamilton Square in downtown Peoria; East Peoria’s Levee District and East Court
Village in Pekin; and Quincy Mall, among others. Diane Oberhelman and her
husband, Doug Oberhelman, continue to be committed to Peoria, recently making a
capital investment into First Ascent Peoria, a new indoor climbing, yoga and
fitness center in Peoria’s Warehouse District. This project is expected
to be a catalyst for future redevelopment, downtown activity and economic
growth.
Cullinan Properties continues to expand its operations
beyond Peoria, with offices in Chicago and St. Louis. Cullinan is
developing Rock Run Crossings, a 265-acre mixed-use project in Southwest
Suburban Chicago. This up and coming development, located in Joliet near
the intersection Interstates 55 and 80, will be a super-regional destination
with entertainment, retail, restaurant, hospitality, office and medical uses,
recently having announced Regal as an entertainment anchor to the
project. Adding to its list of current projects, Cullinan Properties has
also been selected by Saint Louis University to acquire the rights to purchase
and develop a 14-acre site near the university. A new 850,000 square foot urban
mixed-use development is planned for the site to include multi-family, retail,
restaurant, hotel and office components. Cullinan Properties is
developing the new McLean County Veterans Affairs Clinic located in
