ILLINOIS CENTRAL COLLEGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES SEATS NEW MEMBERS, REORGANIZES
Illinois Central College Board of
Trustees conducted a yearly reorganization at its April 27 regular meeting.
Recently elected Carl Cannon of Peoria, Kelly Daniels of Peoria, Paula Davis of
Groveland, were seated as new trustees serving six-year terms. Isaac Jones of
Morton, who ran unopposed for a one-year term in a student-body election, was
seated as student representative, replacing outgoing Hellen Roeser.
The Board also recognized retiring
members Don Brennan and Sue Portscheller, as well as Doug Stewart, who was
appointed to fulfill four months of the term left vacant after the death of
James Polk in November 2016. Brennan served on the Board for six years, and
Portscheller served for 18 years. The Board also unanimously approved Diane
Lamb as Chair and Gale Thetford as Vice-Chair, each serving one-year rotations
in those roles.
Cannon is the founder of the ELITE
youth behavioral program in Peoria. Davis is the retired superintendent of
Pekin Community High School, and Daniels is an instructional designer at
Caterpillar Inc. All three once attended ICC.
The next ICC Board of Trustees meeting
is scheduled for May 18 at 3 pm, on the ICC East Peoria
Campus.
