Pekin Park District to Offer Fused Glass Classes

You can spend hundreds of dollars on Fused Glass Art or you can make your own unique pieces that make exceptional gifts and memorable keepsakes!  Under the expert instruction of Amy Psinas, local artist and art teacher at Pekin High School, participants will learn the techniques of fusing glass at different temperatures in addition to working with a variety of glass fusing products and techniques. The classes are designed to meet all levels of instruction - beginning, intermediate and advanced.  Amy, who shows and sells her pieces all over the central United States, will help participants choose from several projects to make.  At each of the glasses, participants can choose to make either a glass plate, a frit painting, 10 pendants, 4 bottle toppers, 4 coasters, 4 ornaments, 2 night lights, 2 sun catchers or 1 night light and 1 sun catcher. Contact Dawn Wilde-Burgess at dwilde@pekinparkdistrict.org or (309)201-4006 with any questions.
