PEKIN PARK DISTRICT OFFERS EAT SMART, MOVE MORE CLASSES AT SOLDWEDEL PROGRAM CENTER

Have you ever wondered why diets work for a little while then we start gaining back the weight we lost and then some?  Do you want to eat healthier, but think it costs too much and is too hard to do?  Then we have a class for you!  Eat Smart, Move More is a 10 week program that provides families with the skills needed to eat healthier foods and be physically active.  You will learn simple solutions for planning, shopping, fixing and eating more meals at home; how to choose beverages and food wisely when eating out; and how to take advantage of everyday opportunities to incorporate physical activity in your life.  You will also receive easy to fix, low cost recipes for meals your entire family will enjoy.

Classes are taught at Soldwedel Program Center on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m.  beginning September 15, 2016 to participants ages 13 & up.  The cost to attend the class is $60 (which averages out to $6 per class).  For more information, please contact Sarah Johnson at sjohnson@pekinparkdistrict.org or (309)347-7275.
