Pekin Community High School Students Recognized
Pekin Hospital and Lite Rock 107 are proud to recognize Pekin Community
High School students Alyssa Fabry and Dalani Lee as recipients of the Pekin
Community High School (PCHS) Student Award for May.
Alyssa, a senior, was nominated by Mrs. Alyson Brucker, a Career and
Technical Education teacher at PCHS. In the
nomination, Mrs. Brucker cited Alyssa’s contributions to the PCHS Speech Team,
Chess Club, Fall Play, and Spring Musical.
Dalani, a senior, was nominated by Mrs. Amanda Fitts, a School Counselor at
PCHS. In the nomination, Mrs. Fitts
cited Dalani’s contributions to Noteables, Student Council, and her church.
Each month, two PCHS students who excel in moral character, positive
attitude, volunteerism, demonstrate ideal role-model behavior, and who
contribute to the classroom are nominated by teachers, counselors, and high
school personnel. The students must be seniors and show remarkable qualities
which help them prepare for a promising future.
Seth
Mingus, Assistant Principal for Curriculum at PCHS said, “PCHS is grateful to
have the opportunity to recognize the positive contributions our students make
every day. The teachers and staff enjoy nominating students, and we appreciate
the support from Pekin Hospital, Lite Rock 107/WSWT, and our community.”
Pekin Hospital and Lite Rock 107/WSWT are proud to sponsor the student award
program for the students of PCHS.
