Pekin Main Street's 9th Annual Super Cruise
The 9th annual Pekin Main Street Super Cruise rolls back into downtown Pekin on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27. This annual event attracts thousands of motorcycle, car and truck enthusiasts to downtown Pekin to enjoy wheels of all shapes and sizes as well as live entertainment and food.
Friday night (7/27) kicks off the weekend’s festivities at 5:00pm with the Phat Jax Custom Cycle Bike Rally. The event features live music by the Glory Days will rock the night away beginning at 7:00 on the Ray Dennison Chevrolet Stage. All are welcome to participate in the Bike Show – trophies will be awarded in various categories to the best bikes out there! All bikes must enter into downtown from Capitol Street from Margaret Street or from the lower 300 block of Court Street. Maps can be found on the Pekin Main Street website (www.pekinmainstreet.com).
The festivities continue on Saturday with our annual Super Cruise, which begins at 1:00.
All cars must enter into the event area from either 6th Street and Margaret Street or 6th Street and Broadway Road. Cars of all shapes and sizes are welcome! There will be a lot of great activities for the kids – Fun on the Run, professional face painting by Wild Style Design Company, balloon creations by The Unique Twist and a possible appearance by a special guest or two! The top 15 in the 2nd annual Pekin’s Got Talent Competition will take to the Ray Dennison Chevrolet Stage at 1:30 in the round 2 competition to determine who moves on to the finals. Lost Creek will take to the stage at 5:00 and play until 8:00 (or later). Dash plaques will be available to the first 300 cars. Food vendors, a beer garden and a variety of merchandise vendors will be set up throughout the duration of the two day event.
