Two Members of KCB Information Services become FICO Certified

Larry Nelson, President of KCB Information Service and AllRegs, the leading information provider for the mortgage industry, is proud to announce that Tracy Powell and Larry Nelson have recently earned the Certified FICO Professional (FICO Pro) certification. This certification provides a knowledge of benchmark for indiviuals who assesss credit risk and how that risk impacts their company and customers. The Certified FICO Pro program is designed to recognize individuals who have a strong understanding of FICO scores and how the FICO score impacts both the lender and the consumer.

Tracy and Larry are available for training seminars and classes to explain credit scores and credit reports. KCB Information Services is the only LOCAL Credit Bureau. Since 1928, KCB has provided credit services to Municipalities, Police Departments, Land lords and over 90 Banks, Savings and Loans, Credit Unions.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Only high schools are eligible, but others can participate including teachers, family and school supporters. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
