Good Shepherd Lutheran School Ribbon Cutting

Representatives from the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce congratulated Principal Ralph Mickley and the board of Good Shepherd Lutheran School with a ribbon cutting on the first day of school. Good Shepherd Lutheran School purchased the former Leath Furniture building and completed their remodeling this summer, just in time for the first day of classes. Ryan Fairchild, who was in the first preschool class of Good Shepherd Lutheran School in 1981 held at the former Roosevelt School, and his son Davin, who is in the first preschool class to enter the new facility, along with brother Gabe, a 1st grader, cut the ribbon as Good Shepherd opened their new doors to Christian education in the Pekin community.  You can see more pictures from this and other chamber events at:  http://picasaweb.google.com/PekinChamber
