Former Chamber Leader Dies

We were saddened to learn of the June 12th passing of our friend and former leader, Leland S. "Lee" Williams.  He served as Executive Director of the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce from 1970 to 1984 - the longest tenure of any chamber executive director.

Full of challenges and successes, the 70s and early 80s were exciting times for the chamber and the community, and Lee was deeply involved.  Most notably, he helped create the Marigold Festival and served on the committee during the early, formative years.

Our sincerest condolences and prayers go out to Lee's  friends and family.
