Methodist Medical Group Adds New Physicians

Methodist Medical Group has added three new physicians. Bojan Pavlovic, M.D. is an Interventional Pain Management Specialist and has joined the Methodist Comprehensive Spine Center and the Methodist Comprehensive Pain Center located in the Methodist Atrium, 900 Main Street, Suite 780. Dr. Pavlovic graduated from Chicago Medical School, completed a Pain Management Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, a Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Residency at the University of Chicago and an Anesthesia Residence at University of Minnesota. He also completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Pavlovic is board certified in Anesthesiology and is accepting new patients by calling 672-5950.

Chris Miles, M.D. specializes in family and sports medicine and joins the Methodist Medical Group at Washington, 205 N. Cummings Lane, Washington. Dr. Miles graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and completed a Family Medicine Residency at Methodist Medical Center and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Wake Forest University. Dr. Miles is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is accepting new patients by calling 444-2090

Also joining the Methodist Medical Group is Jill Wirth, M.D. who joins the Methodist Medical Group at Peartree office, 6831 Peartree Lane, Peoria. Dr. Wirth graduated from Southern Illinois University in Springfield and completed a Family Medicine Residency at the University of Illinois at Peoria and a Primary Care sports Medicine Fellowship at Southern Illinois University Quincy. Dr. Wirth is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is accepting new patients by calling 691-1250.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Only high schools are eligible, but others can participate including teachers, family and school supporters. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
