UnityPoint Health® Announces New President of UnityPoint Health – Pekin
Ron Miller, UPH - Pekin Board Chair and Debbie Simon, UPH Regional CEO are pleased to announce Todd Baker has been named President of UnityPoint Health – Pekin and Senior Vice President of Physician Services, effective January 1, 2019.

Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality health care in Pekin and to being a strong corporate citizen. My goal is to help set a clear vision for the future of health care in the region that will ensure UnityPoint Health – Pekin is a relevant provider of high-quality health care for years to come,” said Mr. Baker.
Baker began his health care career in 1989 with Proctor Hospital as General Manager of Proctor First Care. In 2011, Baker was promoted to Vice President of Strategy and Business Development and has been with UnityPoint Health since its affiliation with Proctor Hospital in 2013. Baker currently serves as Vice President of UnityPoint Clinic® Operations overseeing more than 50 clinics and more than 180 providers serving the people of Central Illinois.
“Todd has played a key role in reshaping the way UnityPoint Health – Pekin provides health care and specialty services to the Pekin community. His work in operations has helped bring new providers and new services to Pekin that are helping to transform care delivery and the patient experience. Pekin Hospital affiliated with UnityPoint Health in January 2017. Over the past 18 months, UnityPoint Health has made significant investments in Pekin to bring new services, new providers, new technologies, and improved facilities to the Pekin campus and surrounding area. In early 2018, UnityPoint Health opened Pekin East, a 60,000 square foot, state of the art medical office building along Griffin Avenue. Pekin East is home to an array of clinics and services, including primary care, pediatrics, podiatry, vascular services, radiology, and lab services. UnityPoint Health recently opened a First Care location at Pekin East and announced an $8 million renovation project at the UnityPoint Health – Pekin campus.
“This community deserves a health care partner like UnityPoint Health. We do what we do every day because we want the people in our community to go from getting well to living well. I’m honored to have this opportunity to lead our efforts in the Pekin community,” said Baker.
Baker is a Peoria native and graduated from Manual High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Administration and a Master of Business Administration degree from Bradley University.
Baker is a member of several civic organizations and serves as a board member for the Peoria Riverfront Museum, Peoria City/County Health Department, Hult Center for Healthy Living as Vice President of its Board of Directors, and West Peoria Fire Protection District as its treasurer. Baker serves on the National Council of Advisors for Bradley University Foster College of Business. He is a past board member of the Bradley University National Alumni Association, the Bradley Braves Club, and is a lifetime member of the Central Illinois Bradley University Alumni Chapter.
