Pekin Park Distrtict Hosting "Sleeping On Ice" Event

PEKIN PARK DISTRICT TO HOST KID’S OVERNIGHT NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY AT THE MEMORIAL ICE ARENA

While parents are attending their adult parties, children who stay overnight at the Arena will get to enjoy their own New Year’s Eve Party. Children ages 6 – 14 years will be supervised by trained, fun loving Camp Counselors and will participate in age appropriate activities. These may include ice-skating, Wally ball, pickle ball, scavenger hunts, movies, dancing, mad science experiments, art projects, card games, karaoke, photo booth, trivia games, and hanging out with friends.  We will ring in the New Year with a balloon drop, snack bag and warm cocoa toast! Some of the balloons will have notes that can be exchanged for prizes. We will plan to sleep from 1:00 a.m. – 6:30 a.m. (so expect them to be as tired as you are on New Year’s Day).  For the slumber party, bring (or wear) your pajamas, sleeping bags and pillow.  The price includes all activities and food.  $70 all night – 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. or $40 for 7:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.   There is  a $3 non-resident fee and 2nd and 3rd child discounts. Registration deadline is Friday, December 23, 2016.  Please contact Dawn Wilde-Burgess at dwilde@pekinparkdistrict.org or (309)201-4006 if you have any questions.  To register, call 347-7275.
