Timbercreek Rehab and Healthcare, 1120 State St., Pekin, will hold its Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. for ages 1-13. In addition to the Easter Egg Hunt, there will be a special visit from the Easter Bunny, pictures, candy, prizes and snacks. For additional information, please call 309.347.1110.

Timbercreek Rehab and Health Care is part of the Petersen Health Care group. Petersen Health Care was founded in 1974 when James D. and Robert L. Petersen, both registered physical therapists, purchased Kewanee Care Home in Kewanee, IL and Robings Manor in Brighton, IL. In the three decades since, Petersen Health Care has had holdings is Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin and Nevada. Petersen Health Care currently owns and operates 95 homes in Illinois, Iowa and Missouri including 75 Rehabilitation and Health Care facilities, 2 Developmentally Disabled homes and 15 Assisted/Independent living complexes. Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
