If you are looking for ways to keep your child’s imagination fueled while on school break, our Easter Break Escape is the place to be.  Children participate in activities with experienced counselors including, crafts, games, field trips, nature hikes and lots of playing outdoors.  Field trips, breakfast and snacks are included in the fee, but please bring a lunch.

Dates:  Friday, March 25 and Monday – Friday, March 28 – April 1, 2016.  Ages:  Kindergarten – 13 years. Times: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Fees:  $34 per day or $144 for the entire camp.  Non-residents add $3 per day.  Location:  Soldwedel Program Center, McNaughton Park off  Route 98.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
