Herget Bank Promotes Kohaus

Herget Bank is pleased to announce that Patricia J. Kohaus has been promoted to Branch Manager of the Parkway location, which is located at 2201 Broadway in Pekin.

Kohaus is a graduate of the American Institute of Banking and the R. David Tebben Community Leadership Academy. She has been the Assistant Branch Manager at the Main Street location since 2008, where her primary responsibility was to help clients meet their financial goals. Kohaus brings over 23 years of banking experience with an emphasis on providing outstanding customer service to her new position. “I am very excited to begin a new chapter of my career at Herget Bank!” Kohaus said.

As Parkway’s Branch Manager, Kohaus will oversee the branch’s profitability and outside business calls. She will also continue assisting clients with all aspects of their banking and attend community functions as a representative of the Bank.

Kohaus is active in the community and currently volunteers with Junior Achievement.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
