Herget Bank Congratulates Neal Stimpert

Herget Bank is pleased to announce that Neal A. Stimpert has been promoted to Senior Vice President – Lending at the Bank.

A graduate in Finance from the University of Illinois, Stimpert has been Senior Vice President – Retail Services at Herget Bank since July 2004. In that position, he has been responsible for directing retail operations, including branch network, residential mortgage lending and home equity lending. In his new role, Stimpert will focus on all areas of lending, including commercial, consumer, residential mortgage and home equity.

“I am excited about my new responsibilities,” Stimpert said, “and I look forward to serving our business customers in a greater capacity than I did as Retail Manager.”

Stimpert is also active in the community. He is currently serving as Treasurer of the Boys & Girls Club of Pekin and as a member of the Pekin Insurance Holiday Tournament committee. He is also the Past President and Campaign Chair of the United Way of Pekin. Stimpert is also the 2005 recipient of the Pekin Rotary Club’s Barney Maticka Memorial Award, which celebrated his service to youth.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Only high schools are eligible, but others can participate including teachers, family and school supporters. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
