Cumulus Peoria’s Heritage Country Station WFYR-FM Rebrands as 97.3 River Country


CUMULUS MEDIA announces that Peoria, IL, Country radio station WFYR-FM rebrands today as 97.3 River Country, a heritage Country brand serving Peoria and Central Illinois. The station segues from its previous brand of 97.3 NASH FM, and will refocus its programming to play today’s best new country, as well as all-time country favorites. The station also launched its new website today at: www.973RiverCountry.com.

97.3 River Country’s new weekday programming lineup will feature:

The Ty Bentli Show: 5am-9am CST
Wes: 9am-10am CST
Cathy Taylor: 10am-11am & 1pm-2pm CST
Doc Watson:  Noon-1pm CST
Biscuit:  2pm-3pm & 4pm-6pm CST
Brian:  3pm-4pm CST

In addition, each weekday 97.3 River Country is giving four lucky listeners the chance to win $1,000 with a ‘text to win code’ announced on 97.3 River Country at 8am, 11am, 2pm and 4pm every weekday.
