Greetings Prospective Sponsor! Pekin Pride Soccer Club is already preparing for our 2nd Annual Kickoff to Summer Classic presented by PCB Insulators being held on May 22nd-24th, 2020. With 46 teams participating in our 1st ever tournament in 2019, we are expecting over 70 teams in 2020. We will once again target clubs from all over Central, Eastern, and Northern Illinois – including teams in Morton, Peoria, Bloomington/Normal, Champaign, Danville, Quad Cities, LaSalle-Peru, Joliet and the list goes on.

Since this is our second annual tournament, we once again want to put our best foot forward. I believe this will be easily accomplished by providing our out of town guests with excellent overnight hotel accommodations, convenient grocery stores, and recognizable and unique restaurants. I hope to see steady growth over the next several years and I know that we cannot accomplish this without the help of generous local businesses.

Local High School to Win a SMART Board in 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Only high schools are eligible, but others can participate including teachers, family and school supporters.
