The 20th Annual Soul Fest is set for August 10-August 12, 2018 on the Peoria RiverFront!

The Peoria Park District and Inked Entertainment are thrilled to announce that
the Friday night line-up for the 2018 River City Soul Fest has been set! Friday
night has been dubbed "Blues and Jazz Night" and will include performances
by The Kinsey Report, Mississippi Heat, and Chicago R&B Kings!
The 20th Annual Soul Fest will feature three nights of music, with each night
having a different theme. As previously announced, Saturday night will be
"R&B/Hip-Hop Night" and will feature Chingy, Ashanti, and Ja Rule. Sunday
night will be "Gospel Night," with a musical line-up to be set at a later date. Be
sure to watch the River City Soul Fest Facebook page for a full list of
performers.

Friday, August 10 VIP - $15.00
Saturday, August 11 General Admission: $25.00
Saturday, August 11 VIP: $35.00
Sunday, August 12: $5.00
3 Day Weekend Pass (General Admission): $30.00
3 Day Weekend Pass (VIP): $40.00

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
