ILLINOIS CENTRAL COLLEGE SEEKS ENTRIES FOR 2ND ANNUAL VETERANS’ ART SHOW

Illinois Central College is seeking artwork created by area veterans to be displayed in ICC’s upcoming 2nd Annual Veterans’ Art Exhibit, an event celebrating the creativity of local veterans.
This exhibit is open to any veteran currently residing in Central Illinois. To allow for the maximum number of participants, only one piece of artwork will be allowed per artist. All entries must have been created within the past two years.
Works will be accepted at the ICC Performing Arts Center, located on the East Peoria Campus, on October 26 from 3 to 5 pm; October 27 from 9 am to noon; and October 28 from 10 am to noon. All work must be labeled with the artist’s name and title of the piece, if any.
The 2nd Annual Veterans’ Art Exhibit is scheduled from November 1 through November 26 in the ICC Performing Arts Center Gallery, located in the lobby of the facility. A reception for the artists will take place November 9 from 6 to 8 pm in the gallery. The reception is free and open to the public.
All artwork accepted into the show must remain in the exhibit through November 26 and can be picked up from the gallery on November 27 between noon and 5 pm.

The exhibit is presented by the Arts at ICC, which has a rich history of enhancing the arts community and expanding education beyond the classroom. Arts at ICC presents more than 500 exhibits, performances, lectures, rehearsals, meetings, master classes, clinics, seminars, receptions, orientations, forums, auditions and tournaments annually.
