we are excited to release them. The descriptions are shown
below for these New Wines, come
in for a taste and take home a bottle.
We will have Hot Wassail samples on the weekends too!
RED DRAGON: This red
wine blend with apple flavoring has a fun complexity with fruity
sweet apple and cherry flavors and also a tangy festive cranberry
flavored finish. This sweet wine can be chilled and enjoyed alone, or
for a cold weather treat warm it up and add a cinnamon stick, and a
few orange slices with a couple of cloves for a great hot winter
WHITE DRAGON: This
white wine blend has a pineapple fruit flavoring that gives it a
sweet tropical taste that brings out a touch of honey on the palate
with light crisp pleasing finish.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Only high schools are eligible, but others can participate including teachers, family and school supporters. Donors need to tell the Goodwill donation attendant which high school they are supporting for their donation to be counted. Donations can be made at any of Goodwill’s nine stores o
January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
