PEKIN SUNSET HILLS LADIES BEST BALL TOURNAMENT 2016

Ladies Best Ball is an annual golf tournament held at Sunset Hills Golf Club.  Our tournament is generously supported by local business through donations and hole sponsorships.  Those hole sponsorship donations allowed us to launch our new scholarship program along with making our tournament a continued success.  This year at our parings dinner on Thursday, August 11th we will be announcing our first scholarship winner.  Our winner will be from the same local communities our tournament players come from, and a female graduate on the ladies golf team. 
We would like to ask for your support in continuing to keep this tournament going for the ladies of our community – this will be our 38th year!  We offer different sponsorship or donation options that will fit most budgets.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
