PROMOTIONS OF BILL KOENIG AND MARILYN STRICKFADEN


PEORIA, ILLINOIS...September 21, 2015… South Side Trust & Savings Bank, a subsidiary of Mid Illinois Bancorp, Inc., announces the promotions of Bill Koenig to Vice President Commercial Lending and Marilyn Strickfaden to Vice President Commercial Lending.

In this role, both Koenig and Strickfaden will be responsible for the continued growth and development of the commercial lending department, while providing financial expertise to our commercial clients.  Both have extensive experience in business banking and years of experience working with businesses involved in manufacturing, construction, health care, professional services, not-for-profit and real estate investment and development. 

Koenig has worked in the banking industry for 26 years.  He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Management from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.   He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Madison, Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership School, Illinois Bankers Association – AG Lending School, and the American Institute of Banking. Koenig is on the Associate Board and Collection Committee for the Peoria Riverfront Museum and has been a Rotary Club of Peoria Reading Volunteer for 10 years.

Strickfaden has been in the banking industry for over 30 years.  She attended Illinois Central College and the University of Illinois at Springfield. Strickfaden has served as Board President for Family House and served on various Pekin Chamber Committees.  She currently serves as a Board member for Crittenton Center and is the Assistant Treasurer for the Kiwanis Club of Pekin.  Strickfaden is a graduate of the Pekin Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy and the Illinois Bankers Association Consumer Lending School.



South Side Trust & Savings Bank, a locally owned financial institution since 1922, has $669 million in assets and serves the tri-county area with 12 full service locations in Peoria, East Peoria, West Peoria, Bartonville, Chillicothe, Washington, and Pekin.  South Side Bank owns Mid Illinois Insurance Services, Inc. located at 1524 W. Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
