Tech Tip Tuesday: Google Alerts
I'm always amazed that more people don't use Google Alerts. Google Alerts are email updates of the latest relevant Google search results (web, news, etc.) based on your queries. It's easy to use...just enter the words you want to monitor. As an example, I monitor "Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce" and "Marigold Festival."
Then once a week I get an email with links to all of the new stories on the Internet with those phrases. You can also set it up to deliver the emails once-a-day or as-it-happens.
You can use it to monitor developing news stories, keep current on your company or a competitor, follow news about celebrities or family and friends, sports teams, etc.
