Small Business Health Coverage Options from Get Covered Illinois

Get Covered Illinois has information about new opportunities for small businesses to access health coverage for their employees. If you or other members of your organization would like to receive additional updates from Get Covered Illinois, please sign up at: http://getcoveredillinois.gov/stay-informed/

Over the last several weeks, there have been many rule changes to the Affordable Care Act affecting small businesses. To help clarify those changes, Get Covered Illinois is happy to share updated information about the health insurance Marketplace, financial assistance available to small businesses and what steps Illinois businesses and individuals can take to find a health plan right for them.

Please click on the following link to access the toolkit for small business owners who may be interested in learning more about the Small Business Health Options Marketplace (SHOP) and the Small Business Health Insurance Tax Credit, worth up to 50 percent of an employer’s contribution to employee premium costs. A variety of materials are included to help educate your membership and empower them and their employees to make informed choices about their health coverage.

For employers who choose not to provide health coverage, this one-page flyer contains some basic information that a business can share with their employees on newly available health coverage options and where to find more information.
