The February 9th Puttin' on Pekin breakfast drew a large crowd of 97 chamber members and guests. Manda Brown from Perfectly Planned Events presented Dave Osborn (Trouble Free Heating and Cooling) with the early prize and Lloyd Davis (Federal Companies) with the late prize. Michael Seeman (NRG Energy - Powerton) presented the Spotlight on Business award to Earl Riley and First Pekin Savings Bank. Debbie Fornoff (Debbie Fornoff Interior Design and Draperies) presented the Blue Ribbon award to Pat Taphorn and Bill Schock representing the Unland Companies in recognition of their remodeling project. Jeff Brooks (Pekin Public Library) presented Jake Jones with the Sunshine Award for Pekin Villas of Holly Brook and Reflections. Katy Schackelford, the city planner for the City of Pekin, was the program. She updated the crowd on a few of the City's projects, and then presented the "Best of Pekin" awards.
