Nash FM 97.3 teams ups with the Children’s Hospital of Illinois and Bob Lindsey Acura for Teddy Bear Drive 2016

Peoria’s Country, Nash FM 97.3 is proud to once again be partnering with the Children’s Hospital of Illinois for the annual Teddy Bear Drive, sponsored by Bob Lindsay Acura. Please help us by donating new teddy bears. 

Teddy Bears can be dropped off at our studio located at 120 Eaton St. in Peoria, Monday through Friday from 8am – 5pm.  This year Bob Lindsey Acura will also be a drop off location as they look to fill an Acura MDX in their show room with teddy bears.

The final day to drop off teddy bears at both locations will be February 5th.  After that, we will begin packing up the bears for delivery to the Children’s Hospital of Illinois on February 10th. 


Our goal is to collect more than 2,000 bears this year.  Our delivery will make for a nice pre-Valentine’s gift for any child who is in the hospital that day, but the Children’s Hospital uses our donation year round to give to sick kids.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
