Facet Technologies looks to advance in the website development market with new hire.

Local computer specialists, Facet Technologies, announces the signing of Ruby Thompson, to be their Creative Director and Project Manager for their new website and software development division. Thompson brings her years of experience managing the web development process at Online Innovative Creations, Inc., which is a partner business in the Prairie Technology Alliance. This strategic move includes bringing a seasoned website development team into the Facet family to complement Facet’s strong software development capabilities.

Thompson has a Bachelor degree in Graphic Design from Robert Morris University, as well as decades of combined experience working for entrepreneurial, non-profit, and corporate businesses. She is a native of Peoria, growing up in Bartonville, and well connected in the Peoria area. Her talents were honored as the 2014 recipient of both the Woman Leader of the Year and Outstanding New Leader awards from Women in Leadership of Central Illinois.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
