Betsy Yarcho, Client Services Specialist, Joins Unland Companies

Betsy Yarcho, the former area vice president of client management at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., recently joined the team at Unland Companies. The new Manager of Client Services, Yarcho looks forward to contributing to the company’s reputation for quality service.

“I’m excited about being a new member of the Unland team,” Yarcho said. “In my new position, I’m doing the things I’m passionate about… like working to better enable customer engagement and communication, as well as to enhance our customers’ understanding of all our capabilities.” 

A cum laude graduate from Eastern Illinois University in 1982, Yarcho has more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry as a producer, manager and customer service representative. She specializes in employee benefits and has designations as a Registered Health Underwriter (RHU), a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) and a Chartered Benefit Consultant (CBC). In addition, Yarcho has completed Consumer Directed Health Care Certification and has an extensive background in public service, including several years as a Morton Village Trustee.


The past president of the Central Illinois Association of Health Underwriters and the former treasurer for the Illinois State Association of Health Underwriters, Yarcho currently serves as a member of the Gameball Run Executive Board, which benefits Children’s Hospital of Illinois, and the Fogelberg Foundation of Peoria Executive Board.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
