Family Caregiver Night

Family caregivers are invited to attend an informal evening program where they will learn how to care for a loved one with friendship, respect, empathy, trust and humor at the Alzheimer's Association Family Caregiver Night. The evening program will be held Tuesday, April 24th, from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Par-A-Dice Hotel, 21 Blackjack Blvd, East Peoria.

Entitled, “Traveling the Caregiver’s Journey,” the program is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Central Illinois Agency on Aging and the Lee L. Morgan Family Fund.

Featured speakers are Best Friends Approach Expert David Troxel, local attorney Susan Dawson-Tibbits, and Lisa Snyder, MD. Registration is required. The Alzheimer's Association – Central Illinois Chapter is a donor supported, not-for-profit health organization serving 20 counties in northern, central, and west central Illinois. Its three office locations – Peoria, Quincy, and Dixon – provide educational and supportive services to help people with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers understand and deal with the disease and its impact on their lives.
