2020 IDOT Fall Planning Conference

COME CELEBRATE 35 YEARS WITH US!

In case you missed it, the IDOT Bureau of Planning announced the dates and call for topics for the 2020 IDOT Fall Planning Conference.  In consideration of these unprecedented times, we have decided to move to a virtual format this year and schedule a series of webinars for the month of October. The theme for this event is "Planning to Rebuild Illinois".

The webinars will be scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. on October 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, and 22.  There will be additional information forthcoming via e-mail on how you can register for these sessions. 

We still need your topics!  The Fall Planning Conference is an event for you. We would like to deliver content about your good work or areas of interest. If there are innovative planning activities, initiatives designed to identify and address economic or social inequity, SPR projects, Rebuild Illinois issues, or other ideas you'd like to share, learn about and discuss with your colleagues please use the link below to submit them for this event. We will use them to develop plenary sessions and topic-based webinars.  Once we have the subject matter fully developed, we will provide detailed information on the content of each webinar.

Goodwill of Central Illinois will hold the 5th Annual Recycle Your Style Contest. High school students within Goodwill’s territory are encouraged to donate their used clothing. The high school that donates the most pounds of clothing will win a SMART Board donated by Bradfield’s Computer Supply. The contest runs from October 1st through October 31st. “This has been a very successful campaign for us,” said Bob Parkhurst, Goodwill Vice President. “We are grateful for Bradfield’s Computer Supply’s donation of a SMART Board each year. That prize really heats up the competition among the high schools.” Donations of items other than clothing are encouraged, but only clothing will count toward the contest. Only high schools are eligible, but others can participate including teachers, family and school supporters. Methodist Offers Free Informational Heart Program

January 29, 2010 Methodist Medical Center is hosting a free “Coffee with the Doctor” on Saturday February 27, 2010 in observance of National Heart Month. Tahir Ilahi, M.D. of the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology will be making a presentation on “Cholesterol and Your Heart”. Registered Dietician Hannah Lee will also be on hand to demonstrate heart healthy meal preparation. “Coffee with the Doctor” will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Methodist Medical Group Cardiology Conference Room at 112 NE.
