Goodwill’s Stand Down for Homeless Veterans event has been awarded the 2018 Community Health Award from the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria. The award is given to one individual and one organization for their promotion of health in Central Illinois.
Goodwill’s Stand Down for Homeless Veterans is an annual event that provides food, winter clothing and supplies, educational seminars and medical services to homeless veterans. This year is the 10th anniversary of the event and will take place on Saturday, October 6 at Dozer Park
