Chamber Members Hold Springfield Legislative Day

Sixty business and community leaders from 10 chambers of commerce attended the CIRCLE Legislative Day in Springfield on April 30th.  They discussed four issues that have an impact on the local employers:  an increase in the minimum wage, workers comp costs, workforce development, and the state's pension system.  Several central Illinois legislators attended the event and listened to the concerns of the business community.  The group also heard from Governor Bruce Rauner, Lt. Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti, Senate Republican Leader Christine Radogno, House Republican Leader Jim Durkin, and the Director of the Director of the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Jim Schultz.  You can see more pictures from this event at:  http://picasaweb.google.com/PekinChamber
