Bialobreski receives 40 Leaders Under Forty honor

Kurt Bialobreski, P.E., PTOE, a traffic engineer at Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Peoria, Ill., office, recently was selected as a member of this year’s 40 Leaders Under Forty class by InterBusiness Issues magazine.
This is the 21st year the Peoria-based magazine, a publication of Central Illinois Business Publishers, has recognized individuals who demonstrate leadership in their professions and communities. A panel of judges selected this year’s class out of 136 nominations. Bialobreski and other central Illinois residents comprising the 2014 class were honored Nov. 6 at an awards ceremony at Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino in East Peoria, Ill., and featured in the November issue of InterBusiness Issues.
Bialobreski serves as a project manager and traffic engineer on transportation and infrastructure projects throughout the country, including two recent, high-profile Peoria projects: the Warehouse District revitalization and the Washington Street corridor update. He was selected in April as a 2014 Rising Star in Civil Engineering by ZweigWhite’s Civil + Structural Engineer magazine. In 2012, Bialobreski was named Young Engineer of the Year by the American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE) Central Illinois Section. He is a member of ASCE, the American Public Works Association, the Institute of Transportation Engineers, the American Road & Transportation Builders Association policy committee for autonomous vehicles and vehicle-to-vehicle communication and the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce Transportation Committee in Pekin, Ill. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
