Pekin Hospital Recognizes Volunteers


Pekin Hospital recognized its volunteers at the Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon held April 20 at the Pekin Moose Lodge. 

During 2011, hospital volunteers recorded a total of 39,700.5 hours of volunteer service.  Volunteers donated 10,365.5Volunteens donated 531 hours, and Escorts donated 9,345 hours.  In addition, the Pekin Hospital League members donated 19,459 hours.

39 volunteers were given special recognition for their hours of service:

100 HoursAlbert Buchanan, Carolyn Goad, Philip Icenogle, Donna Jenkins, Linda Maas, Phillis Oates, Sandy Pence, Joyce Pratt, Patricia Thompson, and MaryAnn Truckenmiller

500 HoursDon Benassi, Brett Bode, Patricia Bradley, Byron Rabb, and Rodney WIlliams

1,000 Hours E.J. Eberle, Mary Gardner, and Rita Hindenberg

1,500 Hours Diane Arrenholz, Jackie Baldes, Mary Beck, Jim Busch, Dale Cook, Sharon Cook, Bettie Laier, LouAnn Mathews, and John Turnell

2,000 HoursMarcella Harms, Suzanne Hochstettler, Bob Morrison, and Beulah Snyder

2,500 HoursBob Green and Katherine Sheehan

3,000 HoursBill Beadles, Nancy Lunini, and Terry Vogel

3,500 Hours Juanita Appleyard

5,000 Hours Lois DeGolyer

5,500 Hours Barbara Wagenbach

Special recognition was also given to those volunteers who donated the most hours in their division.  Dane Meeker volunteered 103 hours for the Pekin Hospital Volunteen Service, E.J. Eberle volunteered 868 hours for the Pekin Hospital Escort Service, Beulah Snyder volunteered 593.5 hours for the Pekin Hospital Volunteers, and Shirley Williams volunteered 603 hours for the Pekin Hospital League.
